Great Location perfect for multifamily or a group. This is a 5 BR 5 Bath (& 2 half baths!) beachfront home! Sleeps 14 in Beds & 2 on a pull out sleeper sofa (Max guests 16). Located directly on the beach; no busy road to cross.

Heated swim spa that is 7.5 ft by 12 ft and 4.2 ft tall.

 

This is a great home for one large family or two smaller families that care to share the cost of a beach rental. With five bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and one large kitchen and living space, everyone will have enough space to spread out! Wake up to a beautiful beach view and enjoy your coffee while listening to the relaxing sounds of the ocean.

Minimum age to rent: 25 years

We encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance, such as CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason) or whatever suits your personal needs (weather, COVID, other trip issues).

 

The space

 

Surfside Retreat is a beautifully finished beach front house. It is located on the east end of Panama City Beach on Surf Driven in a residential area perfect for walking/strolling. Moving in with your beach gear is a breeze with private parking available just outside the front door for up to 5 cars or 3 full-size SUVs. (Guests may not park on the street or at any adjacent complex.) Just walk out the back door and paradise awaits. The property boasts HDTVs with Rokus throughout the home, live channels via YouTube TV, as well as high speed wifi that is perfect for streaming.

 

Important: This home sleeps 16 (14 in beds + 2 in sleeper sofa) - Maximum guests allowed is 16.

Property is Dog Friendly with pet fee. There is a non refundable pet fee of $150 per dog, up to two pets. Pet owners must clean up after pets. Pets are not allowed on furniture under any circumstances. Some restrictions may apply.

All bed linens and interior towels are included. Please bring your own beach towels. Full size washer and dryer are available in the laundry room.

A play yard, high chair, and baby gate are located in the closet for guest use. Please note, no linens are provided for the play yard. Additional baby equipment may be rented from BabyQuip:

Please note that the basement has 7ft ceilings.

 

The kitchen is well equipped with quartz counter tops, new stainless steel appliances (including both a full size refrigerator/freezer, a second refrigerator for refreshments, and an ice maker!) and all the essentials for preparing meals for the family. Everything you need to serve 16 people is available including dishes, flatware, and glassware. A full set of cookware (including large pots for crowds) and utensils are also provided. There is a drip and Keurig coffee maker; bring your own favorite coffee and filters. Dine inside or outside, it's up to you! No waiting in line and no reservations required when you have your own home instead of just a hotel room!

 

 

The patio and deck provide ample entertainment, including a swim spa, string lights and ample seating for your entire group. There is a BBQ grill and large outdoor Connect-4 game set along with dining tables and sofa seating. One outside shower helps to keep salt & sand outside the home.

 

 

This property requires a security deposit, it will be collected separately by the property prior to check in. This security deposit is refundable.

Note: Two security cameras record the driveway in the front of the property.

ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES

Quiet time is after 9:30 pm and strictly enforced. Parties are not allowed in this quiet residential neighborhood. If you are night owls, this property is not for you. If you bring more people than reflected on your reservation you will be asked to leave without a refund. At least one adult who is 25 years of age. If these rules sound like they won't work - you have 24 hours to cancel penalty-free!

Travel Protection Insurance: Travel protection service is highly recommended and can be purchased directly from a number of independent reputable national providers.

Florida's hot and humid weather is not only lovely for visitors, but for endemic insects too. Endemic insects and fauna may occasionally find their way into our home. To prevent local resident pests from enjoying our home, we do have regularly scheduled pest control treatments to keep the home pest free. Guests may help prevent insects from joining them by keeping doors and windows closed, wiping down counters, and putting away food properly.

Shopping Nearby: There are 2 major grocery stores and a Super Walmart within 2 miles. Pier Park is an ideal place for shopping and is only a 10 to 15 minute drive from the house. At Pier Park you will find several major department stores, many outlet stores, specialty stores, unique apparel and jewelry stores, fun activities for the kids, a major 16 theater cinema, and some of the best restaurants in the area.

 

Easy Access: Thomas Drive has the best traffic flow in the area. During the busiest times of spring break and peak summer weeks, Front Beach Road experiences bumper to bumper traffic. From Thomas Drive you can drive anywhere in minutes without the hassle of traffic.

Fun Activities: Shipwreck Island water park is a blast for the whole family in the heat of the summer. Zoo World and Gulf World are also great family activities. Within a very short distance of the house there are several venues for miniature golf, bumper boats, sling shot bungee rides, a Ripley's Believe It or Not, and all the beach activities one could ask for. For the golfing enthusiasts, there are 5 public courses within minutes of the house. St. Andrews state park is just a short drive down Thomas Drive. Additionally, boat tours to Shell Island or boat charters are available from several local companies.

This was a beutiful house right on the beach. It was everything we wanted! There was a bed that broke during our stay and I contacted Patrick and he sent someone right out to fix it. The dryer upstairs did not dry good but there was two washers and dryers so that was not an issue. I’m sure if it I had mentioned, Patrick would have fixed it as well!!! Our party consisted of two parents and 8 high school/college aged kids. We had a great 5 nights at this place. Lots of room to spread out, especially in the kitchen, living area, and on the deck. All of us in the kitchen at once, and it didn't feel crowded!! Kitchen was well-stocked with all of our cooking needs, and we made meals together every night. The beach and the pool were an absolute hit with our group. At the beach over the start of Independence Day week, it was busy, but every group along this stretch of beach had front row seats to the ocean (not two or three parties deep, like some busy beaches). The pool was perfect and fit the whole group easily. We would definitely recommend this place to large groups/multifamily situations. Thanks for the good times!!

Perfect location for a multi-family vacation in Panama City Beach. Walk right onto the beach from the deck, and I’m not talking about walk up to a beach access point from the deck but THE beach. It’s yours for the stay. Nestled midway between large developments further up and down the beach on either side, this location is a single-family dwelling surrounded by small duplexes, meaning that your slice of beach is much less busy than the saturated crowds in other parts of PCB. It was big, it was comfortable, and the location can’t be praised enough. Also close to Walmart and Publix to pick up whatever supplies you might need.

Absolutely perfect stay! I can not say enough about this place!! My family had an amazing stay from check in to check out. Plenty of space, pictures don’t even do this house justice! So spacious, so many bathrooms, so much space! The stocked kitchen was nice and super convenient. The views….no words. We have stayed in Rosemary/Seagrove/Miramar/Destin area multiple times but the trade off for being directly on the beach was worth every single penny. The swim spa was so great too-we all enjoyed it! In the listing I must have missed any descriptions of beach chairs/toys/etc…but there were so many chairs and toys and it was yet one more pleasant surprise!! The area right behind the rental was so quiet and private. It was almost like we had a private beach. We watched dolphins and sea turtles, enjoyed local restaurants and thoroughly loved our week!! If you’re on the fence about this place-book it!! Smooth and easy-not one negative thing to say!!

We only had five adults in total but there was plenty of room for a much larger group. Even with only five of us splitting the cost, we all felt that it was very good value for the money. I would recommend a rental vehicle during your stay though. Good communication (clear, concise and friendly) from our host Patrick. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for my family. The kitchen has all the amenities you could possibly need to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The grill was great for our beach days. The TV in the living room was perfect for our movie nights and football games. We truly felt right at home. Patrick is an incredibly responsive host. The AC on the main floor wasn’t cooling down the first day. I sent Patrick a message to give him a heads up and was going to touch base with him the following morning. He responded right away and instead of waiting to see if the problem resolved overnight, he had someone at the house in under 10 minutes to look into it and fix it. We will definitely be back again next year!

This property was absolutely perfect for our family vacation! 4 generations- ages 2 to 82 years old. The layout is wonderful - the main living area and kitchen is all together but when you need a little time to yourself, the bedrooms are all separate enough. Having a bathroom inside all bedrooms was perfect for privacy and convenience. We cooked almost every meal and the kitchen was extremely well stocked. It was spotless when we arrived also. The location was wonderful - it’s not in the middle of the high rise busy traffic section so it’s quiet and the beach isn’t crowded there. The house is literally a few steps onto the beach - even closer than we thought it would be. We honestly couldn’t think of anything we would change or need. The whole family agreed they’d like to come back to the same place again next year. An easy 5/5 experience for us.

I've stayed in 100's of BnBs/Rentals across the globe. I have never stayed somewhere that so exceeded expectations. Location, Location, Location. Is perfect. 50 yards from the beach. the heavy beach crowd falls on either side of a series of houses, with this in the middle. So the beach is less congested. It's easy walking distance to a great seafood place (Surfside seafood) which also has a bar. The Alibi Bar is also nearby with live bands. A longer but doable walk to strip mall with a great Pizza place (Brick and Barley) liquor store (Newbys) and Ice cream shoppe (Mr Puffs). 10 min from the wharf and St Andrews old town and state park. The white sands are just as advertised. House Amenities Completely updated and renovated. 5 bedrooms, each with a very nice walk in shower. The "Master" in the basement has a king and a day bed which would slide four kids or two adults. Basically you can sleep in beds 16 people and have 5 full baths and 2 1/2 baths to work with. The tile is neat and easy to keep clean. The ENORMOUS table can seat 16 with another 8 or so at a large kitchen buffet. Kitchen is completely stocked with everything you need to cook. Decor is great and modern. Little things like power strips with USB ports in all the room and multiple outlets on the breakfast bar. The two large tables on the upper deck (which is covered) is a great. Negatives? gotta stretch to find any. Beach chairs could use updating. The front door electronic lock is finicky.

The beachfront home is nicely nestled among low-rise townhomes. Majority of the time, the location is very quiet with low traffic. There is a bar a couple of blocks within walking distance if you're looking for some evening grub and live music; if not, then you're insulated from the sounds once inside. The rental is well depicted in all the online photos - it was spacious for 5 teenagers (shared the downstairs bedrooms), 4 adults (upstair bedrooms), and a sweet Bullmastiff. We had a great view and it was so convenient to walk to and from the beach. Despite it being a holiday weekend, our location was not crowded compared to the high rise condominiums further down on both sides. What a convenience and perk not to struggle for elevators and crowds!

The best part is the two story decks with “wash off” areas and its own short beach access. There were even plenty of beach chairs, a beach wagon, swimboards, and umbrella. My family and I had the most incredible stay at Patricks beachfront property in Panama City. The home was exactly as it was listed and more! Something that is hard to find are large airbnbs for families is that many king size bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and we were so thrilled to find that each of our couples could have the privacy of their own bathroom. The view, and ease of being right on the beach made the experience that much more enjoyable. The kitchen was equipped to facilitate all our large family dinners and there were even beach toys for our baby along with other leftover floats and boogie boards. We look forward to making this a once a year memory and to many more stays at this house! What a special place, would highly recommend!

Our family really really loved our stay! The house was just as described and being just a few steps to the water's edge was priceless. The bedrooms were set up to give everyone privacy and the kitchen and living area were beautiful and spacious. The extra refrigerator and the ice maker were thoughtful and much used additions to the kitchen. With many beach lovers (and cooks) in our family, most of us barely left the house! There were many beach chairs and wagons full of sand toys. We would set up on the beach just once a day early in the morning and we could see and monitor our things during meals on the balcony. We all loved the views of the water and the sunsets were spectacular. Patrick was a great host and communication was easy. We all agreed this is definitely a house we would love to return to in the future. We have nothing but wonderful memories!

Highly recommend this beach house, it was the perfect beach vacation home for my family and I We really enjoyed being right on the beach and having the easy access to nearby restaurants, shops and other attractions. This home was the perfect place to accommodate a large family, the huge kitchen, spacious living room, multiple bedrooms and the outside living space made it easy for everyone to enjoy and vacation in their own way. Our family had the best time staying here. The house is beautiful and the view is perfect only a few steps to the beach. Lots of room for a big family. The owner was very helpful we had a problem getting the dishwasher to work he had someone out quickly and got the problem fixed. We will definitely stay again.

This is our third friend trip (with kids) to Florida over Spring Break, with being our first time to Panama City. The house was remodeled, clean and beautiful. The kitchen was so spacious for 13 of us! The house had everything we needed! The first aid kit came in handy when someone got sand in their eye. The beach was so pretty every morning and we saw a ton of dolphins! Our stay exceeded our expectations!

Great location - Right on the beach! With 8 adults and 2 kids this whole house rental was ideal. It was well equipped with 10 beach chairs, 2 wagons, 2 umbrellas, 5 boogie boards and plenty of sand toys. The kitchen was beautiful - an extra fridge for drinks plus an ice maker was great. We will definitely want to stay here again next year.

Checking in and out was super easy with clear instructions. The house was clean and had convenient amenities like an ice maker and 2 sets of washer/dryer. The furniture and beds were clean and comfy. The decks were perfect for grilling and having morning coffee while watching the ocean. One morning we were able to watch a pod of dolphins for about 20 minutes! We were also able to bring our dogs with us instead of boarding them. The only issues were that there were huge flies that kept making their way into the lower floor somehow and there was a bad smell in the hallway right outside the bathroom in the lower floor.

Where do I start...From the check-in to check-out, everything was so perfect. The host was very responsive and sent clear instructions for the check-in process and check-out process. The house was kept extremely clean and all our family members had great time. They have all the beach toys, beach chairs etc providing a perfect vacation setting on the beach. I would highly recommend this place and would come back and stay here again. The host even went of his way to ship us a forgotten car keys after check-out. We can't Thank him enough and this stay left us with lots and lots of memories.

Such a wonderful house and experience. Highly recommend! Can't say enough good things - everything was very clean, the rooms were very spacious (we were a small group, but it could have nicely accomodated a larger group while still giving everyone plenty of room), and it was beautifully decorated. House was right on the beach, so you only had to walk out the door and you were on the sand and headed to the water. Upper and lower decks with great views of the ocean and comfortable furniture. Lots of great accomodations including beach chairs and wagons, tons of dishes, pots and pans, bath towels, etc. Bring your own beach towels and shampoo, but other than that, everything you could want was included at the rental (even a foosball table and a classic Atari game table!!). It made for a wonderful and relaxing vacation!
